The “Production Alliance for Polymer Development and Plastic Technology in Central Germany”, POLYKUM e.V., sees its highest priority being to promote the exchange of science, innovation and technology and the cooperation of small and mid-sized companies both with one another and with the scientific field at all levels of the value chain.
The many activities and measures required to achieve these goals include the regular contact with members, the organisation of workshops and special scientific events covering key topics specific to the branch, the organisation of cooperative stands at regional and international trade fairs and the publication of PolykumNews, the online newsletter with comprehensive information from the plastics branch. PolykumNews gives network members and external partners the chance to present themselves to a wide audience.
The association strives to achieve an interwoven system of companies and research institutes by means of active support beginning at the point of a project’s initiation or the suggestion of a collaborative venture and continuing right through to the implementation of innovations in market-capable products and services, so that increased innovation and competitiveness of predominantly mid-sized companies can be achieved.
